BIG TEAM BRINGS IT AGAINST NORTHERN

If they play like this from here on it the seniors will be back in the tier I playoffs this year. They dropped a 9-6 decision to a Northern team ranked high in the city rankings and top 25 in the country. The defense was absolutley stellar frustrating a touted Red Knight offence time and time again and stopping them 3 times on the LP goalline.The offense capitalized early on on a Northern fumble in their own red zone but could not get the one score they needed to take this one. That makes 4 times in tha last 10 years that an LP team has come close to taking down goliath. Might see them again in the playoffs![More]

ISAKOV TD MEANS VICTORY FOR QUEENS OVER T.O.

With the U of T Blues holding a 6 - 0 lead in the 3rd quarter on the backs of 2 field goals,former LP receiver now Queens receiver Boris Isakov was the man in the right place with a TD scoop and score on a Queens punt block. That 38 yard scamper put his gaels in fron 7-6 and they never looked back winning the game 13-6. Torontos Andrew Gillis had his team inside the Queens 5 with time running out but fumbled the game away.A great game in cold wet conditions at Varsity stadium. Both teams are alive still in the playoff hunt but need to play mistake free down the stretch to seal a post season birth. A not to LP fans that ex Panther QB Simon nassar was dressed for the Blues as the backup QB. We'd love to see him play before the seasons out!!!
